My Pit Bull is Family volunteers share our work in communities across the country. As a volunteer, you will be an important member of our team and act as a representative of our organization to the community at large. As such, we need people with great communication skills because our volunteers will be talking to people about our organization online, over the phone, and in-person.
The primary responsibility for our national volunteers is to complete rental research phone calls to rental properties every month. Each volunteer is typically assigned between 20 and 40 calls to complete. Calls are assigned via Google Sheets. Assuming that each call takes about 5 minutes, the monthly time commitment is between 2 to 3 hours. You would be provided training prior to be assigned any calls, as well as a mentor to help guide you through the onboarding process.
We expect volunteers to be hands on in the organization. This includes promoting our cause on social media by liking and sharing our posts. We also expect volunteers to remain active in our Facebook group for volunteers and to stay in contact with leadership. Our volunteers also participate in many community events and fundraisers throughout the year. We encourage volunteers to participate in as many events as they can and to come up with creative ideas for the future. Volunteers should be committed to volunteering with us for at least 6 months. Ideal candidates are familiar with navigating Google Sheets and detail oriented.
