Do you have design skills you can share with an established educational NGO? The Middle East Policy Council was founded in 1981 to contribute to the understanding of the political, economic and cultural issues that affect U.S. interests in the Middle East. This is accomplished through three core programs - the quarterly journal Middle East Policy; the Capitol Hill Conference Series for policymakers, offering multiple points of view on complex Middle East issues; and the Council's outreach to U.S. educators and students - as well as through our dynamic digital platforms and active media engagement.

The MEPC Digital Design Volunteer will work with the organization’s team to create, manage, and distribute digital content related to these core programs. This role can include:

● Producing original video content linked to the MEPC’s three programs

● Editing content from the MEPC’s three programs (e.g. videos from the Capitol Hill conference) to shorter clips for media and Hill audiences

● Posting interactive media content on the MEPC website

● Authoring text-based and interactive social media content

● Performing maintenance and upkeep on MEPC’s web (Drupal and WordPress) and social platforms

● Finding images and other visual content to support these efforts

The MEPC Digital Volunteer should be creative and possess technical expertise. An interest in Middle East policy is a preference but not required. There is the potential to be promoted to a paid fellow after 3 months.
