MSC needs volunteers for its Federal Way Food Bank to help us provide

essential resources to individuals and families in need.

Box Makers assemble boxes containing food items to be distributed to clients. Box Makers will package and organize food and help with the clean up of the area at the end of the shift.

Required qualifications are: the ability to work in a standing position for the duration of your shift as well as the ability to problem solve, identify, and prioritize tasks.

Available shifts are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30-11:00am and 11:00am-2:00 and Thursdays 11:00am-1:00pm.

All volunteers must complete an application online and have a completed and approved background check.

  • We are following CDC and public health guidelines for social distancing and cleaning and are currently only seeking volunteers within the following parameters: volunteers who are healthy and showing no signs of illness.
  • Volunteers who are not members of high-risk groups for COVID-19 (high risk groups include those 60+, with underlying health conditions, or who are pregnant).
  • Volunteers age 16 or older.
  • Volunteers must be willing and able to wear a mask or face covering during their entire volunteer shift.
