    Description

Join our Leflore County Area Disaster Action Team!

Volunteer as a Disaster Action Team Specialist to help local families when it matters most. You'll provide on-call coverage and respond with our local team to help others after emergencies like home fires, floods or other disasters. Offer hope and comfort as you meet immediate needs such as food, shelter, and clothing. Participate in optional activities that help families plan and prepare for emergencies, or install smoke alarms at no cost in communities of need.

Help in these ways: Inspect emergency supplies, respond to offer hope and assist Red Cross clients, document activities, replenish supplies and inform team members of ongoing events. No experience is required. Respond with an experienced team while you develop valuable skills to lead others. Choose a flexible on-call schedule that matches your availability and lifestyle. Invite others to join and serve as a group, friends, or family! Red Cross speakers are eager to present to your fire department, church, civic or community group, contact us for details and dates.
