Description:

The Fundraising Coordinator is a specialty volunteer position. This role consists of creating and assisting with fundraising efforts to increase Operation Hammond mission awareness and help grow our community of donors. The Fundraising Coordinator functions as part of a team and reports to the Manager of Finance. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Nonprofit fundraising and/or event planning experience.
  • Clear understanding of the unique needs of nonprofit organizations. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to navigate various virtual media platforms.

Duties:

  • Contribute creative ideas for new fundraising opportunities. 
  • Assist with the planning and management of year-long fundraising initiatives.
  • Help increase communications with supporters and current donors. 
  • Coordinate with necessary individuals to carry out fundraising operations.
  • Other tasks delegated by Manager of Finance as needed.
  • Other tasks delegated by management as needed.

Skills & Personal Traits:

  • Works well independently and proactively as part of a team.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with new people, businesses, and organizations.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative thinker.

Work Hours:

  • The individual who holds this position is expected to contribute a minimum average of five (5)  hours a week. 
  • The individual must have flexible availability to implement fundraising activities around contracted events. 

Depending on the demand of the tasks assigned to the volunteer, they may work less or more occasionally. The manager assigned to the volunteer will work to make reasonable accommodations to this arrangement so long as the volunteer is fulfilling the duties of this position.
