    Human Health Project (HHP) is a holistic health literacy charity. Our mission is to improve the health of the underserved and vulnerable through holistic information, education and advocacy.     HHP is seeking a Business Development Director who is highly-motivated, honest and dependable. This position will be responsible for overseeing and driving business growth focused on acquiring and on-boarding new partners and clients, as well as establishing long-term, productive relationships with industry contacts (patients, patient advocates, social workers, doctors, nurses, etc.). This unique role encompasses promotion, outreach, marketing, public relations and healthcare while representing HHP as a fast-growing leader in the industry. In partnership with our program and marketing teams, you will cultivate strong relationships and develop strategic opportunities for growth.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Leadership and teamwork - Work in tandem with HHP’s marketing and program teams to present HHP accurately to potential partners and clients
    • EngageEngage with potential partners in the healthcare industry and nurture current partner relationships
    • Network Expand HHP’s presence through speaking engagements, health conferences, and other online and offline events, help bring awareness and support for HHP's programs
    • CommunicateMaintain a direct line of communication with HHP’s executive management teams and seek out opportunities for HHP to deliver its services

    Essential Skills

    • Experience within the healthcare industry
    • Strong experience selling Business to Business
    • Strong rapport building skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels including patients, patient groups and other health organizations
    • A proven track record of achieving new business targets and exceeding KPI's
    • Be articulate, professional, credible, ethical and possess good business acumen
    • Able to network effectively, spot opportunities, close deals, and manage the after-sales process
    • A friendly outgoing personality
    • A good team player with a flexible approach
    • Display motivation and passion to succeed

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or 2-4 years equivalent sales experience
    • Strong business acumen
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Self-starter, reliable, honest, dependable and flexible
    • Comfortable tele-working and can be successful in that environment
    • Enjoys meeting new people and working with patients and healthcare professionals
    • Ability and determination to follow up on leads
    • Good computer skills and proficiency with PowerPoint and designing presentations
    • Able to speak in front of groups and present new services clearly
    • Good administrative skills, record-keeping and reporting
    • Prior experience working in an early stage company is a big plus
