Volunteer Videographer

Lights. Camera. Action! Seeking experienced videographer to tell our story.

The Morning Star Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Videographer to create promotional assets and document ongoing activities of the Foundation. The Volunteer Videographer operates video cameras and related equipment in the production and editing of video advertisements, educational programs, or other video productions such as events or promotional video.

  • Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
  • Location: Spokane, WA
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operates video cameras, on location or in the studio, in the production of professional pre-recorded programming.
  • Designs, transports, sets up, and operates production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
  • Computer edits video segments on a variety of digital formats.
  • Maintains equipment inventory and field and studio production schedules.
  • Performs miscellaneous volunteer opportunity-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Must own production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
Skills
  • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to configure, operate, and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting, and associated production equipment.
  • Knowledge of computerized tape editing applications and procedures.
  • Knowledge of professional audio and/or videotape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Washington state driver license is a requirement for this volunteer opportunity.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
