    Description

    Veterans supporting Veterans!

    Phoenix is a 4 Star We Honor Veteran (WHV) Hospice and we're looking for veterans willing to support their fellow veterans!

    The WHV program includes the Veteran-to-Veteran program that focuses on matching veteran volunteers with veteran hospice patients.

    • Veteran volunteers make visits to veteran patients and facilitate conversations with them (e.g., reminiscing).
    • Veteran volunteers may participate in pinning ceremonies, acts of appreciation and recognition. (National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization, 2022)

    The interaction between veterans can be meaningful for both volunteers and hospice patients. Join Team Phoenix to support veterans in your community!
