Live and Grow in an Ecovillage

Camphill Village Minnesota (CVM) is a nonprofit, intentional community and home to about 45 people. The community members include adults who have developmental and intellectual disabilities, live-in volunteers and sometimes their families. In this community, members live and work together on 525 acres of organically grown land.

Each person that lives in the community contributes in a way that is meaningful and focuses on practical skill-building, self-expression, and sustaining the village. Our daily activities include gardening organically, biodynamic farming, cooking, baking, preserving our harvest in a commercial kitchen, artisan crafts, basic land maintenance, woodworking, weaving, and caring for the homes. Live-in volunteers commit to six months to one year of service with the opportunity to extend their time.

In our community, we focus on abilities, not disabilities. Everyone, regardless of limitations, has space to learn, teach, contribute and grow!
