Northwest Neighbors Network (NNN) is a virtual village that helps seniors who reside in north King County and south Snohomish County to remain in their homes as long as they wish and to remain socially active and connected to their neighbors. We serve and connect seniors in the communities of Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Brier, Woodway, Lynnwood, and Mountlake Terrace. NNN was launched in early 2019 as an all-volunteer nonprofit.

NNN provides services such as basic handyman services, transportation to medical appointments, and even help changing a light bulb to support seniors who wish to remain living in their own homes. In addition, NNN provides a large number of opportunities for social engagement, such as outdoor walks, groups that read books and discuss movies together, and phone and online connections during the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information, visit NorthwestNeighborsNetwork.org.

This is an exciting time to join the team of NNN. We recently received funding from King County’s Veterans, Seniors & Human Services Levy. The levy funding will be used to help NNN develop a strategic plan for the year ahead, perform outreach to seniors in north King County – with a special focus on underserved populations, and to hire a part-time staff person in 2021.

About the NNN Board

The NNN Board currently consists of 5 enthusiastic and collegial individuals. We are looking to grow our Board in terms of number of members, constituencies represented, and skill sets.

The NNN Board term of service is a 2-year commitment. It is anticipated that NNN Board service will require 1-2 hours per week. The majority of NNN Board members also serve on a working committee, such as the Outreach Committee or Social Committee.
