    Description

Paid-volunteer! Play or sing music to people with Alzheimer's

Mind&Melody is a nonprofit organization implementing interactive music programs at healthcare facilities for individuals experiencing Alzheimer's. We bring live performances (on Zoom or in-person), encourage sing-alongs, create a social space, lead activities based on music theory, and spread joy through music!

We are a team of individuals that use music to help seniors [experiencing neurological decline] regain pieces of themselves, while instilling purpose and empathy in younger generations. We also work with children and young adults with special needs to help them find their strengths, gain confidence, and build friendships. We currently have Mind&Melody programs running statewide and are looking to create more programs by the end of this year!

So if you want to be part of carrying out this vision and are excited about helping people through music, this session leader internship was made for you! You will be able to use your teaching skills and personality to engage with participants and help brighten their day!
