    You can be a Literacy Champion.

    Ethos Literacy makes a real impact by providing free tutoring to teens who have left school and adults.

    Our Programs include: Foundations of Reading and Writing - Beginning and Conversational English - Creative Writing - Pleasure Reading - Basic Math - Introduction to Computer Literacy - New Words: newspaper publication for student writing and New Voices public reading - Specific goals like job licensure, U.S. Citizenship, WorkKeys Test and more.

    The Library of Congress named us a Best Practices in Literacy Honoree. The National Literacy Director awarded us an Innovation Prize for our New Words program.

    Your expertise can significantly contribute to our mission and sustainability, as we seek dedicated board members who can assist with outreach and fundraising efforts.

    Expect six to eight meetings annually, primarily held remotely. The Board works together on projects including building community partnerships, events, and raising awareness.

    We purchase Officers and Directors Insurance.
