Volunteer Position: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Volunteers

Purpose of the Project:

The purpose of this project is to leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in addressing health-related challenges and promoting sustainable livelihoods for

marginalized communities. As a health advocacy NGO, we recognize the potential of AI and ML in revolutionizing healthcare, data analysis, and decision-making processes. Through this volunteer position, we aim to build a team of passionate individuals dedicated to developing AI solutions that will positively impact public health and empower vulnerable populations.

Subjects to be taught:

Volunteers in this position will receive comprehensive training on AI and ML concepts, including but not limited to:

• Fundamentals of AI and ML
• Data preprocessing and cleaning
• Building and training ML models
• AI applications in healthcare and community development
• Ethical considerations in AI projects

Work Activities:

As an AI and ML volunteer, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the project team to identify health challenges and opportunities for AI implementation
• Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing relevant data sets to develop AI models
• Designing and implementing AI algorithms to address specific health issues
• Collaborating with other NGO members to integrate AI solutions into existing health programs
• Evaluating the effectiveness and impact of AI interventions in improving livelihoods and health outcomes

Skills & Qualifications:

• Background in computer science, data science, or related fields
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
• Familiarity with AI and ML frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, Keras, scikit-learn)
• Experience in data preprocessing, analysis, and model development
• Passion for using technology to address social and health challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Orientation & Training:

Upon joining our NGO as an AI and ML volunteer, you will participate in a comprehensive orientation program. This will include an introduction to our organization's mission, values, and ongoing projects. You will also receive specialized training on AI and ML concepts, tailored to the

needs of our health advocacy initiatives. We believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, ensuring that each volunteer has the knowledge and resources needed to contribute effectively.

Project Start Date:

The project is set to begin on any date. Volunteers will be welcomed to the team and receive their initial training shortly after.

Materials to Bring With:

For the orientation and initial training, please bring your personal laptop or any other preferred computing device. Ensure that you have the necessary programming tools and software installed to facilitate the learning process. We will provide additional learning materials and

resources during the training sessions.
