You don't need any program fee to volunteer with us(No program fee is charge) Schools in Cameroon are poorly and equip with Physical Education teachers due to budget cutbacks. Government funded schools no longer offer this subject because they cannot afford to pay a sports teacher out of their own small budget. For this reason, volunteers are very necessary to these schools as they can provide Physical Education lessons without the extra costs.
As a volunteer in cameroon , you don’t need previous coaching experience, but you will need a real passion for sports and the drive and initiative to lead a sports session with students in one of the most populated college in the country, without always having the backup of another teacher. Volunteers will often coach together and have the full support of the teaching staff, though both human and material resources are in short supply.
Don’t worry if you don’t have UEFA–grade soccer coaching skills or aren’t an Olympic athlete – simply organizing a game of soccer or running races can help these children improve their fitness levels.
What they students all share is love for sports and a desire to get involved. Whatever your particular sport may be, by helping keep these clubs going, you’ll be making a real contribution.

our volunteers receive three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and meals served in the volunteer house are typically Western-style. Breakfast consists of self-serve tea, coffee, toast and cereal. At breakfast time, volunteers are also provided with food for making a sandwich as a packed lunch for their project, this is particularly important for Teaching volunteers to note, as your day usually ends after lunch. Dinner consists of dishes containing meat, vegetables and a starch, such as potatoes, bread or pasta. Bottled water is readily available in Cameroon and you should budget approximately US$2 per week , however tap water is fine to drink in the volunteer houses and most other areas. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know as we program and make arrangements for you. However, we need to stress the point that you should expect to eat more as you normally do at home. We will do our best to see that you are well taken care of, but also as a volunteer.
