BroadFutures is revolutionizing the way young people with learning disabilities enter the workforce. Through paid internships, training, peer mentoring and coaching, our unique approach builds confidence, improves communication skills and enhances job performance. We incorporate experiential learning opportunities that serve to challenge comfort zones and empower young people to achieve transformative, positive and successful futures. Through employee partnerships, our program provides employers the education and support they need to build a talented, inclusive and diverse workplace. 

We are committed to growing our Board of Directors to reflect the communities we serve. We are seeking qualified individuals who are passionate about the education of young people and their college and career readiness, have unique skill sets to bring to the Board, and are willing to commit time to carry out the BroadFutures mission.

Specifically, we are looking for candidates with Fundraising experience and the passion to:

• Execute fundraising strategies to raise budgeted goals from corporations, individuals, and foundations.
• Partner with our CEO and Board members to grow relationships for major gifts and board / volunteer recruitment. 
• Lead the effort to build a strong fundraising committee and identify and build volunteer and donor support networks.

Responsibilities of the Board:

• Upholding the mission and purpose
• Ensuring legal and ethical integrity
• Ensuring financial oversight
• Supporting the Chief Executive
• Fundraising and resource development

Responsibilities of Individual Board Members:

• Meeting Attendance: Participate in all quarterly board meetings and at least one Advisory Board meeting.
• Other Attendance: Board Members are encouraged to attend at least one graduation ceremony, information session, or training presentation a year, to stay engaged in our mission.  
• Financial Support/Fundraising: 100% participation by Board Members. Attend fundraising activities and encourage participation and support from personal networks. 
• Committee Work: While our Board is still very small each Board member is expected to sit on and or chair at least 2 committees.
