Marketing & Communications team Member

STRIVE4You is looking for outgoing, motivated and caring individuals of diverse backgrounds and skills to make up our Marketing and Communications team. The Marketing & Communications Team’s purpose is to Support the overall comprehensive marketing and communications strategy including;

 Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance brand identity, broaden awareness of program offerings, and increase visibility across key audiences.

 Write, update, edit and oversee production and design of printed materials including flyers, brochures, and other marketing/outreach materials.

 Develop and implement PR strategies including media outreach, issuing press releases, fielding media inquiries and creating

and maintaining media lists.

 Prepare photography, videos, and other media for publication and maintain digital media library

 develop and implement social networking strategies, develop content and monitor and respond to inquiries

 Write testimonials for website, social media, newsletters, and grant materials.

 Assist the website coordinator to Manage the strive4you.org website, including website content and structure.

 Manage and execute email communications program, including quarterly e-newsletters, campaign messages and fundraising e-appeals

 Assist with fundraising and outreach events

Team Make-Up

STRIVE4You believes in the value of diversity. This Team will be made up of individuals from across the country with different backgrounds. These individuals may include, but not limited to, current students or individuals with skills or experience in the following fields.

·        Photo & Videography

·        Fundraising

·        Or any individuals with the passion to further the STRIVE4You mission!

Team Member QUALIFICATIONS

·        Strong writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail

·        Ability to use online tools to engage members, donors, and corporate partners

·        Outgoing, enthusiastic and creative

·        Works well independently and as part of a team

·        Experience using key social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube.

·        Experience editing and creating videos.

·        Excellent research skills

POSITION TIME REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate is available 2-5 hours a week.

COMPENSATION

This is an unpaid position; course credit arrangements are gladly negotiated. Volunteers are highly valued members of the STRIVE4You’s team and contribute to making a significant difference in STRIVE4You’s ability to reach the end users. STRIVE4You will provide reference letters for all volunteers who successfully complete a placement.
