    Dog lovers wanted - Corgis Racing To End Alzheimer's!

    Do you love dogs—especially CORGIS? 🐾

    If you answered yes, this might be your perfect paw-sibility!

    The Alzheimer’s Association Washington State Chapter is seeking passionate volunteers to support Corgis Against Alzheimer’s, a fun and meaningful community event that is part of our Do What You Love to End ALZ® campaign. This year it is at the Taste Northwest at the Washington State Fairgrounds on Sunday, June 28th as part of Corgi Palooza!

    This event brings people together to celebrate what they love while raising critical funds in honor of those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Launched in 2023, Corgis Against Alzheimer’s continues to grow—and we need your help to make 2026 our best year yet!

    We are building a dynamic Volunteer Committee and Day-of Event Team. Whether you want to help plan behind the scenes or be in the middle of the action, we have a role for you.

    Planning Committee Roles (May–June 2026)

    • Social Media & Marketing/Publicity
    • Team Recruitment & Community Outreach
    • Logistic team for set up the race track
    • Dog Events Coordinator
    • VIP Party Coordinator
    • Photographer
    • Day-of Logistics organizers
    • Silent Auction Procurement Lead (secure items, packages, and sponsors)
    • Sponsorship calls and outreach

    Day-of Event Volunteers (June 28, 2026, Puyallup WA)

    • Event set-up and breakdown
    • Corgi/volunteer check-in and registration
    • Vendor and participant support
    • Course/race support
    • Corgi Daycare & Pup Cup station
    • Silent Auction Team (setup, monitoring bids, closing, and checkout)
    • General event assistance

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    • Attend monthly planning meetings (committee members)
    • Promote the event through your network and social channels
    • Support fundraising and community engagement
    • Fulfill your assigned role responsibilities
