We are looking for volunteers to help our brand new climate change festival in its second year. Co-Curator is the title given to most volunteers, meaning generally: you're helping make events happen. You could be emailing people to establish partnerships to lead to events, helping print signs, making social media, hosting a panel, or following your own dreams of an event we should have like music on a rooftop or something...just about anything. The positions are open to what you would like to do.
See our past events to get a better idea of what we do.
The festival this year will run June 2 - 12.
-We have a weekly, one hour call to plan for the festival. The amount of work you do between those meetings is up to you. From just an hour to almost part time.
-These meetings will increase in May, but we are all volunteers with other work.
-During the run of the festival, $500 stipends will be provided for people who are hands on deck for events to allow for time off from other work, though we can still work around your schedule those days.
*ANY administration experience is a plus.
*Past experience in events would be wonderful. All of us are brand new at this.
*Web development and social media skills being sought
You are joining a collaborative effort here from people concerned about the climate crisis. It is within our values to be non-hierarchical and to be open to all sorts of influence and voices. We may curate and create events, but we also invite people to bring their own, in whatever fashion they'd like. "How can YOU respond to the crisis from where you are? What does that look like?" and we have the same philosophy within the festival crew.

This is volunteer. We would love if you have experience. It is fine if you don't. Send us a message of why you're interested, what you could see yourself doing, and what you may have done in the past that applies. Although a resume is required by Idealist, you can also just write a letter and what skills you're hoping to add or develop.
