Manager of Evaluation and Volunteer Engagement

Center for Success Network is collaborating with Americorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service to America). The Manager of Evaluation and Volunteer Engagement will support activities that unite community and literacy to empower K-5 students in their journey of education. This opportunity will enable our amazing elementary students to successfully progress on the pathway to grade level reading proficiency through improved foundational literacy skills, and ignite a lifelong passion for literacy and learning. As part of the VISTA experience, individuals will be exposed to collaboration and community partners to deepen their awareness of the nonprofit sector and its connection to the broader community.

The VISTA member will establish, utilize, and maintain systems that increase volunteer recruitment, engagement, training and retention to significantly accelerate students on the path to reading proficiency through improved foundational literacy skills and ignite a lifelong passion for literacy and learning. The VISTA member will increase the ability of the organization to successfully complete consistent and valid assessments of students to provide details and structure that lead to successful, individualized mentoring sessions.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must believe in the core organizational values of Center for Success and be driven by the organization’s mission and vision. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for expanding CFS with a professional, dynamic, positive approach to building relationships to support the organization’s growth. We are seeking a candidate who is mission-driven and self-directed, skilled in volunteer management, and excited about working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A passion for working to help children succeed
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to efficient use of resources
  • Experience managing a large number of volunteers and supervising staff members
  • Experience with email, databases, Google Applications.
  • Experience in a results-oriented, relationship-focused teaching or youth development role
  • Reliable transportation required

Through Americorps, VISTA Member will receive:

  • Bi-weekly Living Allowance
  • Professional Development Training
  • End of Service Award: College Funding or Cash Stipend
  • Healthcare
  • Relocation Costs
  • Personal Sick Days
  • Holidays

Compensation:

  • Living Allowance: 575.40 Bi-Weekly
  • End of Service Award selection: College Funding: $6,195 or Cash Stipend: $1,800
