It's election season and Asian Law Alliance is once again running a non-partisan poll monitoring project throughout Santa Clara County. This project aims to protect our local voters and to ensure that the vote centers are in compliance with local, state and federal laws regarding voter protection. With the current state of the country, it is more important than ever that each and every eligible voter has an opportunity to use their voice and cast a ballot without facing discrimination and harassment at the polls. ALA works hard all year, every year to educate voters about their rights and now as Election Day approaches, it's time to see them all in action.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to monitor vote centers on Election Day as well as during Early Voting. As we will physically be entering the vote centers to check for compliance issues, all volunteers will be expected to wear masks and follow all social distancing protocols as required by Santa Clara County and the state of California. More information regarding such protocols and safety issues will be discussed at the volunteer training. Every effort will be made to ensure that volunteers feel comfortable and safe.

If you are interested in volunteering as a poll monitor with Asian Law Alliance for the upcoming November 3 elections, please complete and submit the form below. We will be in touch with you shortly regarding upcoming trainings which will be conducted through Zoom. Trainings will be held the week of October 26.

Volunteers can sign up for 1 or multiple shifts. Each shift will be no more than 4 hours. Volunteers will likely be tasked with visiting at least 2 vote centers during each shift so some form of transportation is required. More details regarding exact dates and shift hours will be provided in the coming weeks and volunteers will have an opportunity to sign up for and confirm their designated shifts.

If you have any other questions, please contact Dorothy Hwang at dorothy@asianlawalliance.org. Thank you!
