Save lives! Feed Baby Songbirds This Summer!

This is a very unique volunteer opportunity for those who love songbirds! During the spring and summer months, CWR receives several thousand young passerines across 50 or more species that require care from sunup to sundown. We rely on volunteers to help these babies return to the wild. Each shift is only 3 hours a week!

Under the direction of a wildlife rehabber with a federal migratory songbird permit, volunteers will help to feed and provide basic care to orphaned or injured passerine (songbird) babies. You will learn to prepare diets, feed, and set up and clean caging. Light cleaning duties including laundry, sweeping and dishes will be required as part of your shift.
