Volunteer Applicant and Student Services Counselor

Responsible for working directly with the program’s students to prepare for and navigate reentry.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: assisting with college application materials, arranging housing plans, and coaching students through life circumstances.

Team members who work in this role allow our students to receive extremely individualized support, which sets them up for success when reentering society and allows them to overcome cycles of poverty, homelessness, and incarceration.

The ideal candidate will have experience or demonstrated interest in working with marginalized populations and should be passionate about social justice, prison reform, and prisoner reentry and education.

We ask that volunteers be willing to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week and a duration of at least 3 months to ensure our students get the continued, consistent support they need.
