Volunteer with the Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club to help beautify local community areas!
Why: In 2024 we started a new community area to host volunteers, workshops and events. With your efforts, we hope these new spaces will bring a new wave of gardeners to learn and share their knowledge with each other.
Who: Granada Hills Salad Bowl Garden Club is non-profit 501(c)(3) based in Granada Hills. Our goal is to encourage individuals in the community to develop self-sufficiency and healthy living through a community garden and educating them about gardening skills.
What to Expect: During Community Volunteer Day, come to volunteer in the new community plot(s) & areas to help with various outdoor tasks such as:
Weeding
Mulching
Shoveling
Repairing
Amending the soil
Removing grass
Harvesting
Planting
Seed saving
Composting
Leak Assessment
What's Required:
Volunteers must be 14 years or older. If you are a minor, then adult or guardian supervision is required.
Outdoor volunteer event, please bring a sun hat, pants and wear closed toed shoes.
Tools & gloves will be provided at the event.
Bring your own water.
No Dogs allowed.
