Finance Coordinator Needed

Those who hold the position of “Finance Coordinator” shall perform duties as described in this document as well as meet the majority of the listed qualifications.

Qualifications:

  1. Critical thinking skills
  2. Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  3. Attention to detail
  4. Strong quantitative skills
  5. Working knowledge of GAAP principles
  6. Organized
  7. Responsible
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects
  9. Understanding of confidentiality
  10. Decision making skills
  11. Financial modeling skills
  12. Familiarity with IRS tax code
  13. 2 years experience in accounting or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Duties:

  1. Perform tasks as assigned by the Executive Director for the general operations of the agency.
  2. Collaborate with other departments to provide administrative support or other issues as defined by senior management.
  3. Participate in meetings as assigned by senior management.
  4. Maintain agency records, as assigned. 
  5. Assist with ensuring legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  6. Oversee cash flow, asset management, financing strategies and banking relationships
  7. Assist with financial audits, in partnership with others.. 
  8. Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets.
  9. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for senior management.
  10. Work with others to gather financial information needed for budget compliance and required fiscal obligation to grantors.
  11. Assist with accounts payables, accounts receivable, the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
  12. Work with staff to assure timely payment of agency bills and flow of agency revenue.
  13. Reconcile and monitor cash accounts and cash flow.
  14. Assist with client billing and provider agreements to coordinate and reconcile billing accounts payable and receivable.

Work Hours:

We are expecting the individual who holds this position to contribute up to [5] hours a week. Depending on the demand of the tasks assigned to the volunteer, they may work less or more occasionally. The manager assigned to the volunteer will work to make reasonable accommodations to this arrangement so long as the volunteer is fulfilling the duties of this position. The volunteer may work more hours at certain time to meet project goals.
