    Description

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is launching a brand-new Black-Tie Gala in the Triangle, and we’re seeking passionate, skilled volunteers to help make it an unforgettable evening. This premier event will raise critical funds to support the Foundation’s mission: to cure cystic fibrosis and ensure all people with CF can live long, fulfilling lives.

About the Role: (hybrid/online and in our office located on E. Six Forks Rd.)

Committee members will play a vital role in shaping this inaugural event-helping set the vision, engage community leaders, and secure the resources needed to bring it to life.

We are especially looking for volunteers with experience in:

    • Sponsorship Development - engaging corporate and individual partners to underwrite event success.
    • Fundraising & Recruitment - building event attendance, auction strength, and donor participation.
    • Project & Event Management - driving timelines, logistics, and creative event execution.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Serving as ambassadors for the Foundation and this new signature gala.
    • Recruiting sponsors, securing auction items, and supporting ticket/table sales.
    • Assisting with event design, program flow, and guest experience.
    • Collaborating with Foundation staff to ensure a high-quality, mission-driven event.

    Time Commitment:

2-4 hours per month (committee meetings and outreach) leading up to the gala, with increased activity in the 2-3 months prior to the event.

    Why Join?

Your leadership will help fund life-saving research, care, and advocacy for the more than 40,000 people living with CF in the United States. This is a chance to combine your professional expertise with a powerful cause, expand your network, and leave a legacy by helping launch a new tradition in our community.
