The Communitarian Network is looking for a volunteer to help nurture discourse on CivilDialogues.org. Civil Dialogues is an online agora, a place people meet to deliberate and to form a consensus on urgent matters. No aliases, no fakes; only people who are willing to show their true face. Identities are verified. A place to allow the kind of continued, extended deliberations that democracy requires. A place to form resolutions and vote on them. A site to make a record once consensus has been reached. A platform on which online communities are formed that carry over offline.

This site was launched by the Communitarian Network, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to finding constructive solutions to social problems through morally informed policy analysis and moral dialogue.

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building discourse on the website by developing and maintaining relationships with various leading public intellectuals.

Essential duties:

·        Maintain a familiarity with how to navigate CivilDialogues.org, its different functions, and its leading communities and dialogues.

·        Research, identify, and communicate with key individuals to build and maintain relationships with them to further promote CivilDialogues.org activities.

·        Collaborate with team members to develop and implement measures to raise the quality of community discourse and engagement on the website.

·        Maintain communication with community members and other leading intellectuals via calls, Zoom, email, and other means.

Qualifications:

·        Education: Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in a relevant subject (e.g., communications, marketing, etc.) preferred

·        Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

·        Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

·        Experience: previous work as editor in a publication or with a publisher.
