In May 2020 we started the Lockdown Economy, an international non-profit initiative to help small businesses and self-employed overcome the crisis of the pandemic (more about the project below). And if you want to take an active role in this noble mission, you can join our team of volunteers! You can help us to bring entrepreneurs across the globe closer together in building the new better world based on inclusion, equity and sustainability.
We are recording a series of interviews with small business owners and self-employed professionals from various parts of the world and occupations to see how the lockdown has affected them and what their markets look like now. We started out in English but now we are creating local editions where people can speak their own language and find out the insights from their own towns and regions.
We are looking for Local Interview Hosts in different towns and countries of Europe and the World. You can become one even if you don't have previous experience of interviewing and organizing livestreams. As long as you are passionate about helping small businesses recover from the pandemic by connecting them, promoting them, giving them access to ideas and examples of what can be done.
You will be responsible for Hosting the interviews live. The Format of all interviews we do is the same:

We have a handbook on how to organize the Lockdown Economy interviews that shows step-by-step what needs to be done, what questions to ask, how to prepare and even email-template invitations. Along the way, the lead coordinator will be helping you to start and get ready. So you don't need to worry or re-invent anything. It is a very simple process.
This could take you from 6 to 16 hours per week depending on your availability. There is no schedule, you can do it when it is convenient for you. You arrange the time of interviews directly with your guests.
Once we onboard you, you will have a chance to be part of a United Nations registered sustainable initiative. You will learn how to work in a dynamic team based on different continents. You will see the best practices of design thinking, agile and business development in action.

The Lockdown Economy is a series of interviews where entrepreneurs from various parts of the world and occupations share how the lockdown has affected them and what their market looks like now. The objective of the Lockdown Economy is to give them a forum to speak, to provide a source of inspiration to a wider community of entrepreneurs, give them access to role models and inventive ideas on how to adapt and reinvent themselves to overcome the crisis of pandemic.
The Lockdown Economy is also a powerful resource of educational materials. It would allow students to work with real-time cases. We plan to distribute these materials to business schools through platforms such as Edx and through collaboration with on-campus courses of educational institutions worldwide.
The initiative fulfils the United Nations recent call to increase efforts towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals, by contributing to economic growth (SDG 8), better education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), and stronger mental health (SDG 3). This initiative brings entrepreneurs of the world closer together in building the new better world based on inclusion, equity and sustainability.
The organizer of the initiative is the Global Think Tank for Sustainable Development AlterContacts.
