Social Media Manager to Uplift Important Messages in African American Community

Community Hero Action Group is a registered non-profit organization based in Pennsylvania whose mission is to empower the Black community through education and advocacy. The primary areas of focus are health, economics, and civic engagement.

We are looking for an individual who possesses skills in any or all of the following areas:

  • video,
  • photography,
  • graphic design,
  • writing/editing.

• The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for regional and statewide social media execution and implementation of digitally-driven communications campaigns.

• Will be responsible for repurposing and creating content for digital channels including websites and social media to share compelling messages that engage key audiences across the country.

• Will also be responsible for daily monitoring and management of social media platforms.

• Manages and maintains social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.

• Manage social calendars and schedules.

• Work directly with our Executive Director on online marketing initiatives.

  • Work with a team of other social media coordinators

• Create original content

• Provide data analysis and metric reporting for clients

• Use HootSuite to schedule daily posts on Instagram and Facebook, and to schedule regular posts on Twitter and LinkedIn.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in many social media platforms

• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Ability to work remotely

  • Self-Starter
