Do you have a passion for reading and love working with youth? As a tutor/mentor through our AmeriCorps program, you can help pre-K through middle school students who are struggling to keep up with their peers in reading/literacy get back on track academically, while re-building social interaction skills lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have positions available now with our partners in public schools and youth programs located in western Washington - including Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia.

Our positions are full-time (40 hours per week) for 10 months, and include a living allowance paid twice per month.

Benefits include:

  • Monthly living allowance of $1,500 - $2,300
  • Health insurance
  • Childcare assistance, if eligible
  • Professional development & career readiness training
  • $6,395 Segal education award, can be used for college tuition and student loan debt

Launchpad to a career:

AmeriCorps provides hands-on experience that employers are looking for! Many of our AmeriCorps members transition into employed positions with their service site after they complete their term of service.

Please visit our website to learn more about our programs and AmeriCorps national service.

COVID-19 Considerations: AmeriCorps members must follow the COVID-19 protocols and/or vaccination mandates of their service site. Please inquire about this if you are selected for an interview.
