Every year hundreds of dedicated individuals across Broward County zip up their jackets and hit the streets as a part of The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign. This remarkable effort has raised approximately $150,000 each December for the past several years and that money is used to buy toys and food at Christmas time, as well as to provide food, shelter, and life changing programs to deserving individuals throughout the year.
Last year we provided food vouchers, small gifts, toys, and bibles to almost 10,000 people in Broward County. For many, the gifts they receive from The Salvation Army are the only gifts they get. Also, the food vouchers can mean the difference between a holiday dinner to remember and just another bleak day. Throughout the year over 30,000 people are impacted by the programs funded through this campaign.
As this Christmas season approaches we urge you to join us in giving back to our great community. Beginning Saturday, November 10th, Salvation Army bell ringers will be stationed in nearly 60 locations across Broward County, so no matter where you are located there is a spot right down the street! This effort will continue right up until Christmas Eve. So even if you only have a few hours to spare, those hours can truly make a difference to a child or a family right here in Broward County. To add to the fun, we are turning the Red Kettle Campaign into a competition between participating groups and prizes will be awarded in January at our annual volunteer recognition event.
We will supply the kettles, bells and everything you will need to spread some needed Christmas cheer this holiday season.

Please help us turn loose change into lasting change!
