We’re seeking a Graphic Design Intern to help bring our mission to life through creative, visually engaging design. Whether you’re a student building your portfolio, a retired professional looking for a meaningful way to give back, or a creative individual seeking a flexible opportunity to stay connected and inspired, we welcome you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design visually engaging materials for print and digital use, including flyers, posters, and event collateral
- Develop creative concepts and branded templates for ongoing projects and campaigns
- Collaborate with staff to translate program goals and stories into compelling visuals
- Maintain brand consistency across all materials and formats
- Prepare and organize files for both print and digital publication
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Canva (required) and a strong understanding of design principles such as color, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Strong visual storytelling and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and open to feedback
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (remote work considered on a case-by-case basis)
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Background or experience in graphic design, marketing, art, or communications
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusivity in design (e.g., color contrast, readability)
- Familiarity with other design or illustration tools (optional)
- Portfolio or examples of previous design work
