    Grant Writer Job Posting - No Lost Food

    No Lost Food is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in El Paso, Texas, dedicated to reducing food waste and fighting food insecurity. We rescue surplus food from businesses, restaurants, stores, and individuals, redistributing it to shelters and families in need across El Paso. Our mission is to ensure no edible food goes to waste while supporting our local community.

    Position: Grant Writer - Flexible

    Location: Remote or El Paso, TX

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented grant writer to help secure critical funding for our food rescue and hunger relief programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in grant writing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our mission of saving food and reducing hunger.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Research and identify grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources.

    Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting documents.

    Collaborate with team members to gather program data, success stories, and financial information.

    Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

    Track and report on the progress of grant applications and awarded funds.

    Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree.

    Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Commitment to No Lost Food’s mission of reducing food waste and hunger.

    Preferred:

    Minimum 2 years of successful grant writing experience.

    Experience with nonprofit fundraising or food insecurity initiatives.

    Familiarity with grant management systems and reporting.
