Company Description

Drone Forward Incorporated (DFI) is a nonprofit education organization experiencing tremendous growth since its inception November of 2019. Drone Forward is currently a volunteer led organization with all current positions being filled on a voluntary basis; however, DFI is developing revenue generating products and pursuing grant strategies that will enable the foundational team of this “startup” style nonprofit business to become paid staff. Over the past months, DFI has built on our early successes by tripling the size of our organization to a total of seventeen. The strategy moving forward is to continue to develop leading technology and business education programming and material to empower underrepresented and underprivileged peoples while focusing on market opportunities to create products that generate revenue. 


DFI is looking for a confident/aspiring human resources specialist to develop a robust HR infrastructure to strengthen our organization and provide assurance to our dedicated team. This person will garner the title of Human Resources Manager. 

 

Human Resources Manager duties and responsibilities

Drone Forward leadership is looking for individuals with the current ability to/or desire to develop the skills necessary to deliver the following: 

  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Create a value creation strategy for all employees that will allow DFi to create projects and opportunities that will help our staff reach their professional goals
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with local, state and federal regulations


Human Resources Manager skills and qualifications

  • Working towards/a bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to research and develop a strategy for implementing a human resources information system (HRIS) that DFI will utilize in the future
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
