Wellness in Legal Aid Summit - Activity Instructor

At the Legal Aid Association of California, we believe that everyone should have fair access to the justice system, even if you can't afford an attorney. The system, however, is not fair and accessible for everyone, especially for low-income and vulnerable populations in California. So we work everyday to strengthen the legal aid safety net through advocacy, nonprofit coordination, and training.

In an effort to support our beloved legal aid members (nonprofit staff and attorneys), we organize monthly wellness summits. The summits are free for our legal aid members and include two workshops and one wellness activity.

We are looking for instructors to volunteer their time to teach a virtual activity to attendees.

Possible instruction could be in, but is not limited to: yoga, meditation, dance, neurofeedback, cardio/aerobics, sound therapy, and more.

Qualifications:

Licensing in the area of instruction you're going to teach in; knowledge of accessibility related needs; sensitivity to different body types and ability to offer modifications as needed; experience teaching virtual classes; and a value system and teaching style that honors anti-racism and social justice at it's core.
