Garden volunteers needed to assist in maintaining the medicinal theme gardens on the American Botanical Council property. There are over 20 different theme gardens (human systems, fragrance, cuisine, tea, first aid, and more) that need lots of tender loving care. Duties could include weeding, watering, plant propagation, harvesting seeds, and assisting in larger projects such as bed building and cultivating, greenhouse maintenance, etc. This is an excellent opportunity to spend time outdoors and learn about medicinal plants in a beautiful, refuge-like environment. The ideal volunteer would have organic gardening experience or be enthusiastic about learning organic and biodynamic gardening approaches. We prefer a commitment of 3-4 hour time blocks on a regular, on-going basis. Time slots for volunteering are M-F 8am - 1pm.
