    Volunteer Community Manager

    About Us:

    The Peace Economy Project (PEP) is dedicated to promoting peace and economic justice through research, advocacy, and community engagement. We are launching a podcast and other initiatives to further our mission by exploring topics related to peace, social justice, and economic transformation.

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Community Manager to join our team. The Community Manager will be responsible for building, nurturing, and engaging our online and offline communities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for social justice to contribute to a meaningful cause.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Community Building: Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage our community across various platforms, including social media, forums, and events.

    Engagement: Interact with community members, respond to comments and inquiries, and foster a positive and inclusive environment.

    Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content that encourages community interaction and participation.

    Events Coordination: Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, such as webinars, workshops, and meetups, to bring the community together.

    Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from community members to understand their needs and interests, and use this information to improve our programs and initiatives.

    Reporting: Monitor community metrics and prepare regular reports on community engagement, growth, and feedback.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Previous experience in community management, social media management, or a related field.

    Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.

    Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with community members.

    Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.

    Creativity: Ability to create engaging content and develop innovative strategies to enhance community engagement.

    Passion for the Mission: A strong interest in social justice, peace, and economic issues.
