    Description

Our hospice program needs veteran volunteers who are willing to share some of their time and talents to help patients and their families who are dealing with end-of-life issues.

Trained hospice volunteers, who are also veterans, will have the unique opportunity to support other veterans who have a life-limiting illness. They will work directly with patients and families to provide such services as:

    • Companionship
    • Respite for caregivers
    • Emotional support
    • Participate in pinning ceremonies
    • Socialization
    • Educate our teams on military culture

Our hospice program will provide education on the hospice philosophy and our care model. Our training will also help veterans understand their role as hospice volunteers.
