Humans For The Arts is a nonprofit organization that focuses on education, Art, psychology and culture, providing a free artistic outlet for children from various difficult backgrounds and circumstances. This unique setting brings together diverse youth groups attending our programs to enrich their fine arts education and hone their empathy skills through learning and practical sessions.

Our Mission and Vision is to develop teen leaders from underserved communities

Our Mission:

  • Through a weekly after school program in scene study, dance classes, self generated plays and masterclasses run by professional actors/ celebrities, we create an awareness for youth for their career and life with empathy, leadership and cultural appreciation for others.
  • As access to arts in public education in the US has declined for many decades, students from marginalized communities have suffered the most. Research shows access to high levels of arts increases all performance indicators for students from socially and economically disadvantaged communities.
  • Professional artists, art organizations (studios, theaters, etc.), philanthropists, and corporations desire to help youth from disadvantaged communities access the arts by sharing their stories, inspiring enthusiasm and motivating participation.
  • The state and municipal government benefit directly from our work with schools of performing arts and Studios every week.
  • Through our leadership mentor program we will work closely with former students who show a high level of leadership skills to teach them how to instruct and run area programs.
