    Description

    Prepare and sell Urban Comfort Food with Uhuru at African Arts Festival

    Come cook, prep and sell with Uhuru at the African Arts Festival - let's make a difference together supporting Black Power Blueprint!

    Uhuru Foods & Pies is selling delicious Urban Comfort Food at the African Arts Festival to support the Black Power Blueprint. This is an all-volunteer effort to bring economic development and self-determination to North St. Louis. Uhuru Foods & Pies is promoting the August 15th opening of the Uhuru Bakery & Cafe on W. Florissant, saluting Marcus Garvey's 139th Birthday and the work of Omali Yeshitela to build the worldwide movement for African people to own, control and develop African recources for African people everywhere!

    Volunteer shifts for 4 or more hours. Every person who volunteers for a 4 hour shift receives a meal, acknowledgement of your volunteer hours and a great experience working with like-minded people!

    No experience needed, but always welcome ;-)

    How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Please visit our Eventbrite link to sign up for a 4-hour shift or multiple shifts.

    We have it broken down on Eventbrite for three shifts each day: Saturday 5/23 8 am, 12 noon, 4 pm, Sunday 5/24 8 am, 12 noon 4 pm and Monday 5/25 8 am, 12 noon and 4 pm.
