Admissions Director

We are looking for an organized, engaging Admissions Director who will connect students with the right program and resources to help them get the most out of the college experience. The Admission Director will meet with students to assess their academic standing and extracurricular activities, inform them about colleges, programs, and majors, and connect them with resources to help them get into and pay for school. You will also conduct interviews, arrange online tours, conduct information sessions, and approve admission applications. To be a successful Admissions Director, you should be committed to learning more about the students you work with and how they may benefit from specific schools or programs. You should be knowledgeable, resourceful, and supportive with strong communication skills.

Admissions Counselor Responsibilities:

1. Assisting students in the admission process.
2. Highlighting the benefits of specific programs and courses to attract students and encourage university diversity.
3. Staying current with school admission processes and requirements, programs, majors, courses, education, and financial aid developments.
4. Organizing recruiting events and representing schools at college fairs, high schools, and other promotional opportunities.
5. Conducting online interviews using Google Meet if needed, reviewing application materials, and assisting in the admissions decision-making process.
6. Arranging orientations and conducting information sessions.
7. Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.

Admissions Counselor Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in education or relevant field. Or
2. Experience in college admissions.
3. Familiarity with university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
4. Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong planning and people reading skills.
6. Ability to multitask and stay organized.
7. Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions.
