    The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services.     Description: The Life Coach at Thaddeus Resource Center plays a pivotal role in the organization's mission to empower girls and women to move from hopelessness to hopefulness. They provide support to clients, establish goals with them, offer feedback, and regularly assess their progress. In this role, they work predominantly with women and families, making a meaningful difference in clients' lives by fostering personal growth and self-sufficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, offering guidance and advice as they navigate life's challenges.
    • Teach coping strategies and resilience-building techniques.
    • Help establish clear and achievable goals, both short-term and long-term, based on their aspirations and needs.
    • Celebrate achievements and milestones but also hold clients accountable for their progress.
    • Offer feedback and guidance to help individuals overcome obstacles and make necessary improvements.
    • Help clients with practical life skills such as time management, communication, and decision-making.
    • Regularly assess and monitor the progress of individuals, identifying setbacks and working together to find solutions.
    • Work primarily with low-income and homeless women/families.

    Requirements:

    • Must currently reside in the U.S. or have prior work experience in the field within the U.S.
    • Experience as a life coach or in counseling preferred
    • Life coach certification preferred
    • Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles
    • Ability to empathize with clients experiences.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent listener
    • Volunteer must have the appropriate technology, internet connection and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams

    Time commitment:

    • Hours based on clients – minimum 5hrs a week
    • 1 year minimum
    • Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
      • All Staff Meeting: Tuesdays 9-10 AM PST
      • Program Department Meetings: Tuesdays 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM (with 1 hour lunch between 12 PM - 1 PM)
