Massage Therapist

Senior Friendship Centers is seeking a volunteer Massage Therapist Instructor to offer massages twice a week to our seniors.We are looking for someone with great energy, and a positive, upbeat personality with knowledge/education.

Duties:

·Provide a relaxing and beneficial massage tailored to older adults

·Have enough materials ready

·Greet all members

·Explain why you enjoy this activity and want to offer it to others

·Set up your rules for the task at hand

·Deliver instructions in a clear and meaningful way

·Thank members for attending

Schedule: Twice a week - Activity Center and Adult Day Program

Location: Senior Friendship Centers - Sarasota Activity Center and Adult Day Program at our Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota, FL 34236 location.

Reports To: Center Manager

Requirements:

··Massage Therapist Certified.

·Experience in senior fitness.

·Knowledge of proper movements that are safe for older adults.

·Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with seniors.

·Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.

·Friendly, flexible, able to handle challenges, and able to work with limited supervision.

·Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.
