    Writer: Press Releases

    Job Title: Press Release Writer

    Job Description: Write press releases. If interested, also distribute them and serve as their main media contact. Perfect for people seeking PR experience and wanting to build resumes.

    Activities

    • Brainstorm with the Executive Director to determine best ideas for upcoming press releases and write them.
    • Interview people when necessary.
    • Attend monthly committee meeting, often held via Zoom.
    • If interested, also submit the release to media and serve as the media contact.
    • Be open to writing other pieces, as needed.
    • Be open to editing suggestions.
    • Use Google Drive and Slack.
