Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation

Volunteers on this programme will help rehabilitate and release animals at an animal sanctuary. Volunteers live on-site for full immersion in Zimbabwean life and the conservation sector. Participating in this project will give you the fulfilment of knowing that you have truly helped to protect population numbers and made a positive impact on Zimbabwean wildlife.

You will help to look after a diverse range of animals, often including birds of prey, primates, lions, cats, dogs, bush babies, reptiles or tortoises.

Volunteers will take part in animal rescue missions, data collection on animal welfare, wildlife population control programmes, immunisation of animals and community outreach and education within local communities and schools.

Volunteers live in a farmhouse style house, in the heart of the animal sanctuary, with unlimited WiFi. All meals, snacks and drinks are provided apart from Sundays, however, there are shops nearby and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a swimming pool and a dam, where you may take a dive and swim or canoe during your down time.

This is a fantastic opportunity for budding vets or zoologists or just anyone who loves animals and is interested in conservation!

Get in touch with questions you may have, or apply today and secure your next adventure in Zimbabwe!
