Youth Empowerment VISTA

The Youth Empowerment VISTA is part of a team working with youth in Metro Providence, Pawtucket, Central Falls in Rhode Island to build leadership opportunities. They recruit youth and mentors, build program sustainability, tell stories of youth success, and build networks and an intentional community for youth. 1-SUSTAINABILITY: Seek new grants and resources for the youth programs; share youth stories; pilot new fundraising approaches; document success; maintain and use database in grants and evaluation. 2-RECRUITMENT AND OUTREACH: Recruit youth, mentors and volunteers; recruit groups willing to host youths' social justice workshops; extend community networks; market and organize trainings to support youth programs; maintain and use database for outreach to youth, alumni, families, schools, donors. The VISTA will engage with youth and capacity build to support youths' success through their VISTA service.

Full time service opportunity with 1 year commitment, Living Allowance , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Relocation Allowance , Training , Health Coverage. Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
