About the Role
As a Volunteer Tutor Recruiter, you'll play a vital part in growing our team of passionate tutors who support students across Halifax. You’ll connect with potential tutors, share our mission, and help build a diverse team ready to make a difference. This role requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week and is perfect for someone who enjoys networking and values educational access.
Key Responsibilities
- Applicant Screening: Review applications, conduct introductory calls, and help assess candidates’ suitability for our program.
- Onboarding Support: Assist in welcoming new tutors and guiding them through the onboarding process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to align recruitment with program needs and goals.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience in recruitment or volunteer coordination (a plus, but not required)
- Passion for supporting education and community engagement
