    All of our volunteers go through the same onboarding process as our paid staff which includes: •Background check and fingerprinting, Urine drug scree, 2-step TB test, Reference Check, and Orientation

    Description

    Are you a veteran looking to support fellow veterans during a pivotal time in their lives? Join our team as a Hospice Volunteer and provide support to veterans in hospice care. Your shared experiences and understanding can make a significant difference.

      Opportunities include but are not limited to:

        * Offering emotional support and companionship

          * Navigating VA benefits

            * Participating in Veterans Cafe

              *Providing respite care for family caregivers.

              We seek veterans with empathy, patience, and a caring nature who can maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy. Volunteers must be willing to undergo training and background checks.
