We are looking for compassionate people to join our team as Direct Patient Care Volunteers for hospice. A person in this role provides non-medical support to patients living with a terminal illness, as well as their families and caregivers. - Engaging in social activities such as reading, playing games, or writing letters.
- Providing caregiver relief so family members can rest or run errands.
- Assisting with light household tasks, such as watering plants, walking pets, washing dishes, or emptying trash.
What to Expect:
- Volunteers enjoy the flexibility of creating their own schedules, with visits lasting 1 to 2 hours.
- No medical background is needed-our volunteers do not perform any medical or personal care tasks (e.g., giving baths, assisting with medication, or transferring patients).
Why Volunteer with Us?
- Make a lasting impact on the lives of patients and their loved ones.
- Gain meaningful experiences and connections.
