Qualified volunteer candidate will assist our Program Associate with two office projects. The first project involves putting together a central filing system for over 25 years of historical and contemporary documents on indigenous rights. This project is very rewarding for individuals or students interested in learning about international human rights standards at the United Nations and Organization of American States; United States Federal Indian Law; and/or indigenous peoples in Mexico, Central and South America. The second project involves organizing our in-house library of resources. 

 

Qualifications:

 

Candidates must have basic proficiency in Spanish and should be enthusiastic about organization, detail-oriented, and able to follow direction. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and creating file labels a plus. Friendly and positive attitude essential.
