If you can read this, you can be an Adult Tutor at the Milwaukee Public Library!
Our adult learners need your help. Adult Tutors provide valuable support to individuals throughout our community looking to improve basic literacy and life skills including reading comprehension, writing abilities, and basic math. Tutors work one-on-one with individuals seeking assistance in a variety of short and long term projects including writing essays, filling out forms, reading books and paperwork, completing homework assignments, and preparing for High School Equivalency and College Entrance Exams. No teaching experience required. We provide the training and the tools. You provide the outgoing personality and drive to help others.
Our Adult Tutoring program is offered as a drop-in service, meaning there are no appointments and tutors are not matched with specific individuals. Tutors help all patrons who show up looking for help on a first come, first served basis. Apply today and help individuals in our community get on the right track for success in life.
